Job Summary
As the Core Services Manager, you will oversee the daily activities of a talented team of Microsoft Solutions specialists, engineers, and architects. The role involves providing support, implementation, and design services for the Microsoft M365 suite and Azure across the enterprise, including directory services, identity management solutions, messaging hygiene, and security & compliance in O/M365. This role will also act as a single point of contact for escalations, issues, and requests, as well as coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to align objectives, priorities, and expectations. You will be responsible for managing the performance, development, and motivation of your team members, providing regular feedback, coaching, and conducting performance reviews. You will also be involved in budgeting, reporting, and project management activities. Develop, Plan, and implement information and operations technology systems, Including IT and network infrastructure, controls, and automation systems, add integration of existing and new technologies. Moves and Acquisition processes for Active Directory consolidation and expansion with focus on Azure ARC and future cloud technologies.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership to meet customer needs and performance targets, monitor in real-time performance, provide analysis of key performance, and ensure the customer remains stratified with the service provided.
- Manage multiple workloads and prioritize responsibilities to meet various timeframes and performance standards.
- Accountable for the performance and personal development of operations team members.
- Ensure agreed service management standards are processes are adhered to.
- Sets key metrics, KPI, and crucial success factors and reports against them.
- Reviews, Consults, and adheres to business continuity plans.
- Upholds values, philosophy, and mindset and acts with integrity in all everyday actions.
- Collaborating with the security team to implement robust identity and access management solutions using Azure Active Directory and Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS).
- Managing financial operations (FinOps) to optimize cloud spending and ensure cost efficiency.
- Providing technical leadership and guidance to development & automation teams, ensuring best practices in solution design, deployment, and maintenance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- At least 7+ years of IT management experience
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft O/M365, Microsoft Active Directory, and PKI architecture
- Extensive experience in the design and troubleshooting of Azure AD and Azure
- Familiarity with Security & Compliance in O/M365 and experience with Message Hygiene solutions (Defender for Office 365, Proofpoint)
- Familiarity with Entra Identity, Azure Directory Services/Hybrid Directory Services, and Azure ARC for Server management
- Experience in leading, managing, and developing teams
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks and deadlines
- Customer-oriented and results-driven mindset
- Experience building relationships at a senior level
- Desirable: ITIL Practitioner Certificate in Incident Management v3 or higher
