Job Description

The Manager, Consumer Products & Solutions will be a key member of the agile Consumer Products, Platforms and Solutions team that is responsible for shaping the organization’s product strategies and the development of new product solutions in the Canadian marketplace. The Product and Solutions team also works collaboratively with issuing and acquiring clients to support product launches and innovations. 


The successful candidate will work as part of a team that leads the implementation and management of Visa’s installments payment product in Canada. They will be experienced and adept at supporting complex projects, demonstrating creativity and acumen in building and selling solutions to clients, and issue resolution. The candidate will be able to identify opportunities, turn ideas into strategies, and secure alignment internally and externally. They will be able to communicate effectively at an executive level and at a project team level. Experience in product deployment and strong end to end execution is essential. Extensive collaboration and ability to build strong working relationships locally and cross-region will be critical to success. Intellectual curiosity and ability to spot market trends will be key.


This position is based in Toronto and will report to the Director, Consumer Products (Installments). This individual will work locally across functional groups and will collaborate with Visa’s NA Product and Global Product teams, clients and technology partners. The payments industry is a rapidly changing industry, with a diverse client base, and the nature of the work may be fluid and evolve based on market needs.


This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualification
•5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualification
•6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
•Product management expertise with strong understanding of product development lifecycle, including planning, product management, development and deploying solutions preferably with an agile development team
•Demonstrated program/project management and strong negotiation skills
•Ability to write product requirements including detailed use cases
•Experience in creating and operating seamless customer experiences
•Strong detail orientation, ensuring the highest level of quality and rigor throughout all internal and external stakeholder communications
•Self-motivated, intellectually curious, results-oriented, with the ability to progress multiple priorities concurrently
•Ability to work independently with limited supervision
•Experience creating enhanced customer experiences with a focus on digital journeys
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work collaboratively and influence without authority
•Highly developed verbal and written skills to deliver concise emails and compelling presentations
