Job Description:

The Wealth Strategy team is part of the Wealth National Office, supporting the TD Wealth businesses, with a mandate to provide strategic thought leadership, strategic planning, and competitive analysis to the Group Head, Wealth Management and the Wealth Operating Committee.

The Wealth Strategy team focuses on identifying and framing growth opportunities, including cross-business synergies, while better contextualizing the competitive landscape.

The team is responsible for providing forward-thinking, fact-based analysis, and implementation-ready strategies and tactics that enable and strengthen our competitive advantage. Through strong partnerships with key stakeholders across the bank, the team acts as a growth enabler for TD Wealth, driving profitability and sustaining performance. The Manager, Competitive Analysis is a subject matter expert on competitive intelligence for the Wealth business. In this role, the candidate will gain valuable experience analyzing industry trends, benchmarking TD's Wealth's performance and market share versus our peers, and informing forward thinking strategies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leading research and financial analysis on key competitors and industry trends, leveraging both internal and external sources of information

  • Conducting financial analysis, interpreting analytical results, and generating insights to provide findings and recommendations

  • Effectively communicating key insights, ideas, and strategies to an executive audience in a clear, compelling, and concise manner

  • Presenting results and assisting partners in executing next steps and implementing recommendations, as appropriate

  • Providing forward-thinking insights related to potential changes and disruption impacting value proposition across the business

  • Supporting the development of strategic plans and supporting materials

  • Building relationships and collaborating with partners across the Bank to maintain a deep understanding of the businesses and strategies while socializing key insights

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years relevant business experience within financial services; experience and knowledge of Wealth Management would be an asset

  • University degree in business management or related discipline; MBA graduate and/or CPA/CFA qualification would be an asset

  • Strong analytically anchored problem-solving skills, with a solid background working with data, conducting analysis, interpreting results, and writing reports/presentations

  • Excellent oral and written communication, presentation skills, and strong interpersonal skills

  • Experience analyzing and solving complex business problems; consulting experience would be an asset

  • Experience in financial modeling tools and techniques; knowledge of statistical techniques would be an asset

  • Experience in conducting in-depth secondary research, including collection and synthesis

  • Strong results-oriented project management skills; well organized, with a high attention to detail

  • Experience in leveraging AI tools to scale the impact of data analysis and insights

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
