Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

A key member of the wider HUB Hotel Finance & Business Support Team, this role will focus on ensuring that hotels are able to provide accurate and complete financial information to Owners/Corporate Office in accordance with Accor’s SOPs. This can range from, but is not limited to, working with hotels/shared services provider to review and clean up balance sheet reconciliations to monitoring/review of daily bank balancing/income audit activities and monitoring/review of the month-end close process.

The role will also provide support to various Hotel Finance & Business Support initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Monitor, review, and work with hotels/3rd party shared services provider to ensure that hotels’ balance sheet reconciliations are on-time and accurate (e.g. reconciling items are immediately investigated and properly cleared in the following month)
  • Supervision and review of work being conducted/produced by 3rd party shared services provider to drive improvement, and deliver training where required
  • Escalation of issues surrounding Accounting, Policy or Controls to ED/VP, Finance & Business Support
  • Maintain existing business process solutions whilst identifying and communicating risks/challenges to supervisor
  • Develop and manage key relationships with respective Hotel Directors of Finance & Business Support
  • Assist in identifying and evaluating business tools/process/system improvement opportunities to drive efficiency and automate manual processes

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of Hotel Finance experience
  • Thorough knowledge of policies and procedures
  • Degree or Certificate in Finance/Accounting Designation preferred
  • Experience with SUN GFS and Blackline
  • Advanced Microsoft application skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and progress projects independently
  • Spirit of collaboration and teamwork, positive attitude and self-motivated
  • Ability to travel as required

VISA REQUIREMENTS: Must already be legally entitled to work in Canada.
