Job Details
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manages a team of IT Business Analysts and IT Business Integration Managers.
  • Work with our Clients to understand the client's business requirements and is responsible for ensuring client requirements are defined, and documented.
  • Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions with multiple stakeholders to extract requirements using best practice methods and tools.
  • Mediate differences in Business perspectives to drive requirements consensus.
  • Bridge the gap between Business and IT, ensuring common understanding and IT/Business alignment
  • Own the creation of a project plan to identify key milestones & deliverables regarding criticality, downstream impact if dates are missed and determine alternative/mitigating actions.
  • Ensure that deliverables are achieved, on-time and in-budget.
  • Monitor project deliverables and escalates when required to mitigate risks.
  • Provide timely, concise communications to functional and executive leadership regarding project status and pending issues.
  • Identify issues and potential risks within the project; proactively manages them to resolution and/or mitigation with the assistance of the Process and Technical Leads.
  • Facilitate activities across internal teams to ensure the program deliverables are on track and understood.
  • Provide input in the preparation of capital expenditure (CER's) for projects.
  • Overall responsibility for timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of all department services
  • Participate in strategic and tactical planning sessions
  • Plan and lead management team meetings and guide Managers to ensure that objectives are achieved;
  • Monitors the performance of staff members to assess training needs and requirements
  • Provide on-going management, annual performance reviews, objective setting and training plans for all direct reports;
  • Develop plans for structuring and staffing of department and review and revise plans based on changes in demand;
  • Identify and implement staff recruiting strategies and participate in the hiring process.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
This role requires experience in launching and supporting Patient Support Programs, as well as experience in business administration, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year Bachelor's Degree program, technical vocational training, or equivalent combination of experience and education; PMI certification or equivalent project management methodology training and hours preferred; requires full project life cycle and team leadership experience with large-scale implementations specifically in managing development and data objects; demands cross-functional information technology/business analysis background; requires a minimum of 8-10 years directly related and progressively responsible experience, and management and/or project leadership experience.
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • A high degree of business acumen in the pharmaceutical health services field, in addition to, demonstrated leadership experience, operating in a high growth, high transaction multi location environment.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in people management
  • Strong Project Management Skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and under tight deadlines, operating in a cross-functional environment.
  • Provides subject matter expertise (SME) of both business process and technical support that complies with standard project methodology.
  • Technical expertise in project management support tools like MS Project, Visio, MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of Patient Support Programs, Billing, Pharmacovigilance, and ERP applications.
  • Possesses subject matter expertise (SME) and understanding of business principles, processes relative to technology solutions and capabilities in the pharmaceutical services field.
  • Ability to organize, plan, and implement projects of various size and scope.
  • Good analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions.
  • Excellent presentation skills able to influence decisions.
  • Ability to lead and direct team members working on the project.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, overcome confusion, and simplify complex situations.
  • Ability to quickly build credibility - somebody who easily gains the respect of peers and senior management as a technology and business expert with strong leadership, facilitation, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to effectively collect the Business Requirements for Application Development
  • Minimum 30% travel required.

Salary Range*
107,630 - 157,630 CAD
