The Manager, BIM & Design Automation will lead MEP-focused BIM coordination, ensuring accurate and serviceable BIM deliverables while integrating engineering intent with construction workflows. Responsibilities include developing Autodesk Revit models, managing clash detection, enforcing BIM standards, and advancing design automation initiatives.
We are seeking a highly technical and hands-on BIM & Design Automation Manager to lead MEP-focused BIM coordination, equipment room design, and computational design automation initiatives across complex architectural and infrastructure projects.
This role bridges engineering intent, manufacturable systems, BIM execution, and construction coordination. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing spatially accurate, serviceable, and fabrication-ready BIM deliverables while supporting projects through all phases including:
- SD50 / SD100
- DD100
- Issued for Tender (IFT)
- Construction Administration
- Ongoing Design Guardianship
What you will be doing:
MEP-Centred System and Equipment Room Design
- Develop, manage, and coordinate Autodesk Revit models for MEP systems, equipment rooms, and specialized technical spaces.
- Apply constructible, serviceable, and maintenance-ready design logic to layouts, clearances, access zones, and routing.
- Translate engineering intent, hydraulic logic, and equipment selections into accurate spatial and BIM deliverables.
- Act as a technical bridge between MEP engineering, BIM execution, fabrication logic, and construction/site coordination.
BIM Coordination, Standards & Information Management
- Lead model coordination and multidisciplinary integration using Autodesk Revit and Autodesk Navisworks.
- Perform and manage clash detection, issue tracking, and coordination workflows.
- Establish and enforce BIM standards, naming conventions, model health practices, and coordination protocols.
- Support BIM delivery aligned with ISO 19650 information management principles.
- Communicate BIM requirements clearly across internal teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
Design Automation & Computational BIM
- Develop and maintain Dynamo for Revit workflows for:
- Early-stage layout studies
- Spatial feasibility analysis
- BOM-driven automation
- Repetitive task optimization
- Early-stage layout studies
- Translate configurable system parameters and BOM logic into intelligent BIM outputs.
- Extend automation into plumbing, piping, and hydraulic systems associated with technical infrastructure systems.
- Apply automation strategically to improve early-stage clarity and technical decision-making.
