What you'll be doing

As a Manager, Advisor Marketing within the Wealth Digital, Marketing and Communications team, you will be a key member of the CIBC Private Wealth, Advisor Marketing team, providing comprehensive marketing and communications support to approximately 900 Advisors across Canada. Reporting to the Director, Advisor Marketing your role will act as the primary contact and consultant for Private Wealth (PW) Advisors and branches within the Quebec and Eastern Canada regions (200 advisors), to develop and implement Advisor’s client/prospect facing marketing plans and initiatives supporting the overall growth of the business.

As the Manager, Advisor Marketing, you are a strategic thinker, with strong collaboration skills and strong 360-degree marketing background. You will share your passion for driving client focused marketing that can help support PW’s advisors’ business objectives, while supporting the unique needs of the Quebec market.

How you’ll succeed

  • Marketing- With a deep understanding and knowledge of the Quebec consumer and the wealth advisory business, you will support the development of advisor marketing strategy and planning.  You have a strong background in local marketing (media) – supporting advisors media planning, strategy and success measurement. You will administrate the assets and delivery of PW Advisor Marketing materials in french and english. Managing both French adaptation and French first marketing and communications will include liaising with Advisory teams, vendors and enterprise partners, supporting the development: advertising and digital marketing, websites, collateral, content and thought leadership, email marketing etc. 

  • Leveraging technology - You will work closely with Private Wealth brand marketing team – to drive consistency and continuity between brand and advisor marketing and lead the delivery of small to mid-scale marketing programs for Advisors. You will ensure Advisors are upholding and being consistent with compliance including French Language Laws, brand and accessibility (WCAG 2.1) requirements. You have experience with the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) regulations. You will promote Private Wealth brand initiatives and programs within advisor consultations and help define and maintain KPIs and communicate results.

  • Relationship Management- With a regional scope servicing approximately 200 CIBC Private Wealth Advisors, you will engage on marketing strategy support within a digital ecosystem (leveraging social media, email, SEO/SEM/SMM, advertising etc.). You will and develop key relationships with Advisory team and branch stakeholders, ensuring daily relations with marketing governance partners; assessing business risk to ensure Advisor collateral and communications are compliant and the approval workflow is maintained. You will develop and maintain strong relationships with various internal teams, including national services, tax and estate planning, media relations, product groups, various LOBs and business partners to evaluate current marketing programs, and identify existing opportunities for improved growth and efficiency of marketing initiatives. 

Who you are

  • You have a Bachelors or equivalent degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field.

  • You’re a certified professional. You have current accreditation and good standing in the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or other relevant financial services industry designation is a benefit.

  • You can demonstrate between 2-5 years marketing-related experience in the Quebec market with developed knowledge of the unique needs of the Quebec consumer and wealth management business. Experience working with Wealth advisors, and regional/branch leadership teams in a consulting capacity is an asset. You have well-developed knowledge of marketing solutions at a tactical level as it relates to the retail brokerage and wealth management business.
