About the CNEF 50/50 Raffle
Each year, the CNE Foundation raises vital funds to support its charitable and youth programs. Proceeds from the 50/50 raffle help fund community initiatives year-round. Tickets are sold online before and during the CNE, as well as in person at the event. Licensed by the AGCO, every ticket purchased supports CNE Foundation programs. During the event, 50/50 Ticket Sellers operate from multiple outdoor activations and designated roaming areas across the CNE grounds.
 


Position Overview
Reporting to the Manager, Casino Operations & Regulatory Compliance, the 50/50 Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the 50/50 raffle program, including sales performance, staff supervision, customer experience, and regulatory compliance. The Manager will lead and support a team of 50/50 Ticket Sellers and 50/50 Assistant Managers ensuring all sales activities are conducted in accordance with AGCO requirements and organizational procedures. This role plays a key part in maximizing raffle revenue, promoting charitable initiatives, and delivering an engaging guest experience across the CNE grounds. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience in sales operations, team management, cash handling, and customer service in a fast-paced event environment

Responsibilities

  • Manage on-site 50/50 Raffle operations and supervise staff
  • Support setup and teardown, coordinating with operations staff and trades
  • Work with management to develop and execute sales strategies to meet targets
  • Ensure compliance with AGCO regulations and internal procedures
  • Oversee ticket sellers and assistant managers, including staffing, scheduling, and performance
  • Assist with hiring, training, coaching, and performance reviews of 50/50 staff 
  • Track staff hours and prepare payroll submissions
  • Monitor daily sales, reporting accuracy, and identify performance improvements
  • Safeguard 50/50 equipment and mobile devices
  • Coach staff on cash and credit handling procedures
  • Report on performance metrics daily/weekly as required
  • Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints
  • Support HR and electronic raffle supplier with training delivery
  • Ensure internal controls and operational standards are maintained
  • Oversee shift sign-in/out and location upkeep (cleanliness and readiness)
  • Prepare daily sales and staffing reports 
  • Complete end-of-season performance reviews
  • Perform other assigned duties 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Previous 50/50 or ticket sales experience at large-scale events is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate others
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Reliable, enthusiastic, friendly, and self-motivated
  • Experience with cash handling and payment card transactions
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, computers, and mobile devices, including basic troubleshooting
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Available for flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, during the 2026 CNE (Aug 11th – Sept 9th)
  • Must be able to work 5–6 days per week during the CNE
  • Available to attend a mandatory training session in early to mid-August at the CNE grounds
  • Valid Ontario G driver’s license required to operate on-site golf carts

Special Conditions

  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift boxes/items up to 25 lbs
  • Required to dress in appropriate uniform
