Job Description:

The Major Account Manager (bilingual) will act as a consultant to customers, offering solutions for efficiently preparing and managing documents, packages, mail, and other forms of messaging, in both physical and digital form. A successful Major Account Manager will connect with customers to build loyalty and be responsible for growing Pitney Bowes's market share in the shipping & mailing segment in Ottawa, ON.

You will: 

  • Join our Sending Technology Solutions (SendTech) team working from a remote home-based office and report to the Major Accounts Sales Director.
  • Strive to meet or exceed Quota Attainment – Achieve the assigned total sold quota target, including quota from mail finishing, solutions, and conquest business sold to current PB customers, competitive and non-users.
  • Act as a Channel Partner—Partner with dedicated telesales and retention resources to ensure complete territory and account coverage. Leverage resources to assist in making customer contacts, validating applications, identifying new sales opportunities, conducting DNA, and closing business on an as-needed basis. Ensure complete territory and account coverage. Partner with retention resources to assist “at-risk” customers in resolving issues and retaining customers as needed.
  • Report Sales Activity—Ensure the timely/accurate recording, tracking, and reporting of all sales activities and customer/competitive information through ongoing usage of approved sales automation tools, such as Salesforce.
  • Manage an assigned Pipeline Management—Provide an accurate forecast of personal sales results. Continuously review all opportunities in the sales pipeline and advance the stage of the sale to provide an accurate record of sales activities and monthly results that roll up to the sales forecast.
  • Execute Sales—Based on the direction established by customer marketing and the Senior Sales Director (SSD), execute sales contacts based on campaign requirements, sales leads, and other national sales execution requirements.
  • Participate in Personal Development & Training—Take personal accountability for completing all assigned training, certification, and personal development requirements as required.

You Have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of proven sales success
  • The ability to execute the solutions sales process, developing new and building account relationships to achieve and exceed sales goals and business results consistently
  • Proven use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools
  • A strong knowledge of the mailing, shipping, and print industry is preferred but not a must
  • A valid Driver’s License and clean record
  • The ability to speak French (Canadian) and English Fluently

Compensation:

The base range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, with the actual pay dependent on your skills and experience as they relate to the job requirements and the location where you will be performing the job.  This position is eligible to participate in a sales incentive compensation plan.

Location:

This is an agile position based in Ottawa or Gatineau, ON. Travel percentages will vary according to role. This role is expected to visit client sites 40% of the time.
