We are seeking a talented, bright and hardworking individual with a proven track record of success to join our team in Florenceville, NB.
The primary responsibility of the Logistics Coordinator position is to work with Supply Chain stakeholders , Carriers Partners, and Warehouse Partners to coordinate day-to-day operations, ensuring customer and intra-McCain shipments are created, tracked, and delivered on time.
The ideal candidate for this position is curious about our business, processes, and understands the importance of service excellence. Must possess strong technical skills, analytical capabilities, critical thinking, and verbal as well as written communication skills. Able to work within guidelines and procedures, function effectively under time constraints with changing priorities, and balance multiple activities simultaneously .
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Tender customer shipments, warehouse replenishment orders and inbound material purchases to carriers per McCain approved routing guide while maximizing trailer utilization (cube and weight) and managing cost
  • Coordinate resources with McCain warehouse operations to assist carriers in booking appointments with focus on prioritizing inbound receipts and outbound shipments to maximize customer order fulfillment
  • Manage and control freight costs providing a sustainable cost advantage though competitive shipment cost and overall spend within budget
  • Measure and monitor On Time Delivery service levels for a defined region or customer and take proactive action when targets are not being met
  • Utilize logistics software tools to optimize procedures which includes (not limited to) the TMS (BluJay) system Transportation Planning Tool, Freight Builder, Load Messages/Advisor, Dispatch Console, Supply Chain Console, Rate Inquiry, and Reports
  • Audit and approve, deny or adjust carrier unplanned accessorial submissions per policy within required processing timeline
  • Coordinate resources between the Logistics Services Group, Transportation Analytics and Freight Compliance Team, Carrier and Receiver to assist in resolving claim issues
  • Monitor daily delivery activity and communicate/respond to delays
  • After-hours, Holiday and Weekend Support Coverage
  • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with carriers, warehouses, Customer Service and Deployment planners
  • Work collaboratively with Customer Service to provide best in class service to customers (both external and internal)
  • Work with other departments to avoid and resolve service related issues for all shipment types
  • Develop and implement ideas for continuous improvement

REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Ideal candidate will have a University degree with a business major, or relevant experience . University degree with Logistics or Supply Chain major Preferred
  • Supply Chain experience, familiar with logistics, transportation and warehouse operations
  • Effective communication skills (both oral and written) with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Tact and diplomacy ensuring professionalism when dealing with internal customers and outside vendors - ability to build strong relationships
  • Results focused with a bias towards action, continuous improvement, and decisiveness
  • Self-motivated with Team Player skills, positive attitude, and a desire to learn and grow
  • Strong technical skills including working knowledge and proficiency with SAP, BluJay TMS and MS Office
  • Thorough, detail oriented with analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Customer focused and solutions-oriented

Compensation Package : $52,600.00 - $70,200.00 . CAD annually
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs. This posting is for an existing vacancy.
