The Logistics Associate is an on-site member of the Logistics Team located in a Local Distribution Center (LDC) or an Operational Service Center (OSC). The role directly supports customers and patients through scheduling, preparing, and ensuring delivery of instruments and implant sets for surgery. Critical to success is working knowledge of company products, operating system, and medical procedures. This position is measured against performance to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 11 am - 7 pm.

What will you be doing?

  • Pick, check, scan, pack and ship customer orders for direct sale, loan and consignment deployment. Receive loan orders, capital equipment orders, stock orders, and return orders as applicable, matching to applicable documentation.
  • Conduct loan kit inspection at individual instrument and implant levels, ensuring quality and accuracy so that upon receipt by customers the loan kits are fit for purpose, and where applicable, conduct loan instrument washing activities.
  • Conduct inventory checks in line with procedures to ensure correct items are in stock, in date, free from damage and that packaging is clean and fit for use.
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, protocols and requirements related to quality, regulatory and health, safety and environmental requirements. Demonstrate good housekeeping in warehouse areas to include maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Learn and effectively navigate software such as MoveMedical and ERP systems such as SAP, AX, Webops or Totvs.
  • This role performs other duties as required including performing on-call support as required and identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
     

What will you need to be successful?

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalency required.

Experience

  • This is an entry level position, so no direct experience required. Previous logistics or warehouse experience desired.
     

Competences

  • Attention to detail including maintaining accurate documentation and records.
  • Flexible with role including driving a company vehicle at times when asked.
  • Able to understand and perform the functions and procedures pertaining to the efficient operation of warehousing and logistics.
  • Able to assist during physical inventories and/or field cycle counts.
  • Able to train and direct other personnel in their duties, both clerical and physical.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders with aim to improve problem solving, increase productivity and to learn from one another.
  • Demonstrate curiosity by asking questions and seeking knowledge about their role.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift 75 pounds. Standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling commonly occur for long periods of time.

Licenses/Certifications

  • For mobile duties, a valid Driver's License with clean driving record is required.
