As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient flow of products and information throughout the supply chain. This position is responsible for coordinating customer orders, managing inventory allocations, supporting shipping operations, resolving logistics issues, and ensuring on-time delivery of products. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong commitment to customer service and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track supply chain activities through collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, customers, carriers, and distribution partners.
- Review daily sales order queues and process orders according to customer requirements and requested ship dates.
- Monitor future-dated orders and prioritize expedited and priority shipments.
- Allocate inventory to customer orders and process complete orders for shipment.
- Coordinate the release of credit-hold orders by working with the Credit Department and Customer Service Representatives (CSRs).
- Monitor customer payments, credit reports, and order hold statuses, communicating updates to shipping teams as needed.
- Review past-due orders and coordinate with shipping, planning, and customer service teams to resolve fulfillment issues.
- Investigate inventory shortages and coordinate stock allocations, repacks, and replenishment activities.
- Review and verify order accuracy, product specifications, and supporting documentation prior to shipment.
- Obtain, review, and validate test reports and quality documentation for customer orders.
- Coordinate product labeling requirements and arrange for the creation of labels when necessary.
- Prepare commercial invoices and export documentation for international shipments.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure compliance documentation, including export and regulatory paperwork, is provided accurately and on time.
- Process and manage drop shipments, special orders, and manually allocated orders.
- Track inventory availability using MRP systems and communicate estimated fulfillment timelines to stakeholders.
- Assist warehouse and shipping teams in resolving order processing, inventory location, and shipment closure issues.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies, missing stock, and transaction history to support order fulfillment.
- Prioritize and coordinate rush and rated orders to meet customer and contractual requirements.
- Monitor and optimize shipping methods, costs, and delivery timelines using logistics systems and transportation tools.
- Generate tracking information and provide shipment status updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare logistics, inventory, shipment, and performance reports for management review.
- Document shipment delays and maintain accurate records of order status and logistics performance.
- Open and manage IT support tickets related to order processing and system issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes, inventory management, and overall supply chain efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field is an asset.
- Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, customer service, shipping, inventory control, order management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with ERP, MRP, warehouse management systems, and transportation management systems.
- Knowledge of export documentation and international shipping processes is an asset.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple departments.
- Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout an office, warehouse, or manufacturing environment as needed.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry materials up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

What We Offer
Base salary range is between $60k and $70k/year.
