About Bree

Bree is a consumer finance platform that brings better, faster, and cheaper financial services to over half the Canadian population who live paycheck to paycheck. We operate in a huge but overlooked market. Our first act is becoming the cheapest and best provider of short-term credit to the 20 million people in Canada who live paycheck to paycheck.

More than 400,000 Canadians have already signed up with Bree and we believe we are just scratching the surface. We are in an exciting place where we have product-market fit, explosive growth, and a clear path to becoming one of the most important fintech companies in Canada.

We have 8-figures of annualized revenue, double-digit monthly growth, profitability, and had 0 voluntary employee churn. We were part of Y Combinator in 2021 and raised a $2M seed round shortly after.

  • Write clear, compelling, and on-brand copy for all lifecycle marketing communications.

  • Strategically segment our user base to deliver highly personalized and relevant messages.

  • Execute A/B tests on subject lines, creative, and timing to continuously improve performance.

  • Analyze campaign results and key metrics (e.g., open rates, click-through rates, conversion) to identify opportunities for optimization.

  • Collaborate with product and data teams to define key customer events and triggers for automation.

  • Maintain an organized and well-documented library of templates, audiences, and journey logic.

What You’ll Need
  • Demonstrated experience in lifecycle marketing and marketing automation.

  • Direct, hands-on experience setting up journeys and campaigns in Customer.io is a must.

  • Experience working in a B2C consumer fintech, lending, or similar industry is a strong plus.

  • Strong copywriting skills with a proven ability to write for different channels and audiences.

  • An analytical mindset with experience in A/B testing and performance reporting.

  • Exceptional project management skills to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines.

  • A solid understanding of data segmentation and how to use it to create personalized user experiences.

  • Familiarity with HTML and CSS for minor template adjustments is a plus.
