Legal Technology Specialist

Okta is seeking a Legal Technology Specialist to join our Legal Operations Team, reporting to the Director of Legal Systems and Technology. In this role, you will be the frontline support for Okta’s legal tech stack, ensuring our systems run at peak performance. You will be an integral member of the team, supporting existing technology and executing on roadmaps that drive efficiency and effectiveness.
This is an opportunity to provide hands-on business support and process improvement while working cross-functionally with Legal, TDI (Technology Data & Intelligence), Finance, and Procurement. You will collaborate with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders to help implement world-class legal technology solutions in a fast-paced, innovative environment.


What you’ll be doing 

  • System Stewardship: Support the day-to-day administration of the Legal portfolio, including CLM, eBilling, eDiscovery, and workflow automation tools.
  • Implementation Support: Assist in vendor selection, testing, and global rollouts for new applications in collaboration with system SMEs and TDI.
  • Process Optimization: Identify business requirements and enhancements to boost team productivity, helping to replace manual operations with automated workflows.
  • Technical Liaison: Partner closely with Okta’s TDI team to troubleshoot technical issues and manage escalations effectively.
  • Testing & Quality: Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) for tactical changes and large-scale legal technology projects. 
  • Data-Driven Insights: Support reporting and analytics initiatives to help Legal leadership make data-informed decisions.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Experience: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with 3+ years of related experience in legal operations or technical support.
  • Tech Savvy: Hands-on experience with legal applications and process automation; Conga (CLM) experience is a significant plus.
  • AI Curiosity: Familiarity with AI implementation or LLM tools (e.g., Gemini, GPT, Copilot) and an interest in how they can be applied to legal workflows.
  • Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of resolving software and system issues.
  • Communication: Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders clearly and concisely.
  • Operational Agility: Highly organized team player who can manage multiple competing priorities with high attention to detail. 
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working with a broad range of stakeholders, from senior executives to cross-functional business partners.

Below is the annual salary range for candidates located in Canada. Your actual salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, RRSP with a match, healthcare spending, telemedicine, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in Canada is between:
$72,000$99,000 CAD
