Role Overview 

We are seeking a Legal Intern to join our Legal team for the summer. This role is ideal for a law student who has completed their first year (1L) and is interested in gaining hands-on, in-house legal experience within a fast-growing consumer products company. The Legal Intern will work closely with the SVP, Legal and will gain exposure to a broad range of corporate and commercial legal matters, with a focus on contracts, governance, and legal operations. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Assist with the review, drafting, and administration of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and other standard commercial agreements
  • Support in reviewing and organizing vendor, supplier, distributor, and services contracts
  • Help maintain and update the Company’s contract repository, including cataloguing agreements, key terms, and renewal dates
  • Assist with the preparation and organization of Board and committee materials, including agendas, resolutions, and minutes
  • Conduct basic legal research on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters as needed
  • Support general legal operations and process improvement initiatives
  • Assist with ad hoc legal and business projects as they arise 

Qualifications 

  • Currently enrolled in a Canadian law school and have completed first year (1L) by the start of the internship
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Clear and professional written communication skills
  • Interest in corporate, commercial, or in-house legal practice
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

The hiring rate for this role is $21 per hour
