About the Role

Dow Jones & Company is looking for a litigation attorney who will primarily work on copyright and content-protection matters, including efforts to safeguard from infringement the journalism produced by The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones's other publications. You will report to Associate General Counsel, VP and be based in our NYC office.

You Will:

  • Join a team responsible for policing and protecting Dow Jones's copyrights globally, including working with outside counsel on enforcement litigation, and will advise Dow Jones's businesses on copyright-related matters, such as infringement claims.
  • Support Dow Jones's fast-growing suite of Risk & Compliance services by advising on matters such as data subject access requests, requests for correction and erasure, and other complaints under U.S. and international law.
  • Help manage Dow Jones's broader litigation portfolio.

You Have:

  • Ability to provide practical legal advice and support in a fast-paced environment, and are a team player.
  • Approximately three years of relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a superior work ethic, the ability to balance multiple requests requiring real-time response, and a dedication to ethics and professional responsibility.

Pay Range: $185,000.00 - $230,000.00
