Job Description

The Senior Contract Manager (Media) acts as a key legal and commercial partner supporting media procurement and contracting across Klick Media. This role leads contract strategy, negotiation, and vendor management for media agencies, publishers, and ad tech platforms. Working closely with Media Strategy, Finance, and Client Services teams, this role ensures contracts are structured, compliant, and aligned with client and business objectives.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead end-to-end contract lifecycle management for media agreements, including drafting, redlining, negotiating, and executing contracts with media agencies, publishers, and ad tech vendors
  • Develop and standardize media contracting frameworks, templates, and playbooks to improve efficiency, compliance, and commercial outcomes
  • Advise Media Strategy and Planning teams on contract risk, scope changes, and vendor issues across active media campaigns
  • Negotiate commercial terms with media vendors and platforms, including pricing models, data usage rights, and performance obligations
  • Collaborate with Finance and Client Services to align media contracts with client agreements, budgets, and organizational risk frameworks

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • 3–5 years of experience in contract management, commercial law, or vendor negotiations within media, advertising, or agency environments
  • Proven experience drafting and negotiating media-related agreements (e.g., insertion orders, programmatic/DSP/SSP contracts, data licensing agreements) with documented deal outcomes or contract portfolio
  • Hands-on experience identifying contractual risk, compliance requirements, and mitigation strategies within digital media or ad tech ecosystems
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders (Media, Finance, Client Services, Legal) to deliver contract outcomes and resolve vendor issues
  • Working knowledge of digital media buying models, programmatic ecosystems, and platform terms (e.g., Google, Meta, DSPs, SSPs) demonstrated through prior roles or projects

Desired:

  • Comfort and enthusiasm for using AI as a regular part of how work gets done
  • Legal training or credentials (JD, LLB, or paralegal certification) with demonstrated application in contract review or advisory work
  • Experience supporting healthcare or pharmaceutical media procurement, including regulatory or compliance considerations
  • Familiarity with privacy, data usage, and data governance clauses in media and ad tech contracts
  • Experience using contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems or procurement tools (e.g., Ironclad, Coupa, Ariba) with measurable workflow improvements
  • Experience supporting media audits, financial reconciliations, or vendor performance evaluations

 

Additional Information

This posting is for an existing vacancy at Klick.

The base salary range for this position is between CAD $120,000 - $150,000. The final amount offered will be determined based on several factors such as a candidate's work location, their unique skill set, education, and prior work experience.
