Learning and Development Specialist

Are you passionate about learning technology and driving performance? Join our dynamic team as a Learning Specialist and take the lead in optimizing our Workday Learning, Performance, and Talent systems. Based out of the Burlington Head Office and working closely with stakeholders across the organization, the Learning Specialist is responsible for planning, prioritizing, and executing key programs supporting Wolseley’s strategic growth.

What you will do:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Workday Learning Tennent (LMS), including user management, course uploads, content curation, case management, learning assignments, and configuration/testing. Ensure the LMS is functioning optimally and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of Workday Performance and Talent Tennent, including configuration/testing of annual performance reviews, calibrations, and checkpoints.  Support with scheduling, training materials, coordinating with key stakeholders, and reporting.
  • Accountable for maintaining our role-based onboarding program, including training matrix, guides, and conducting regular audits
  • Build and schedule custom reports in Workday.  Generate and analyze reports on system activity and use data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain the learning portal to ensure that all development resources are up to date and available to associates
  • Act as a learning partner to various business groups to lead and coordinate learning projects, including the development and implementation of new programs. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Continuously assess the effectiveness of learning operations and make recommendations for improvements. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to assess learning needs, develop recommendations, and create tailored learning solutions. Support the design and development of content, ensuring it meets the needs of the target audience and aligns with organizational goals.

What you will bring:

  • Min 3 years’ experience in Learning and Development
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field and/or Adult Education certification
  • Experience with Workday (Learning and Performance) preferred
  • Experience with eLearning authoring tools considered an asset
  • Bilingualism in French & English considered an asset
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Problem solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent Excel skills with ability to manipulate data and create visualizations
