Position Purpose:
Leads the design and building of relational databases for data storage or processing.
Executes strategies for warehouse implementation, data acquisition and access, and data archiving and recovery.
Designs data models and defines the structure, attributes and nomenclature of data elements.
Recommends new data sources for adherence to the organization's quality standards and ease of integration.
Manages support designs of relational databases for data storage or processing.
Enforces enterprise information standards, guidelines, and principles
Provides subject matter expertise regarding information architecture
Develops and enforces the data architecture standards, working with Business, Application, and Operations counterparts to assure data integrity and consistency
Develops and maintains documentation that maps data models to information systems and business applications
Oversees the validation and approves the process to fix information management issues related to data quality framework (completeness, accuracy, availability, timeliness, consistency, etc.)
Ensures that there is a method to stores and maintain business and technical data definitions (e.g., in a metadata repository)
Manages data dictionary to improve documentation and coordination
Oversees the building of enterprise architecture information blueprints and data models that illustrate how information is stored, processed, and accessed in the enterprise
Leads data architecture, data sourcing, data flow, and solution discussions for data initiatives
Facilitates in enterprise information architecture discussions around needs and alignment to enterprise goals
Collaborates on data-related business requirements and perform data architecture reviews
Performs other duties as assigned
Complies with all policies and standards
Education/Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and requires 5 – 7 years of related experience.
Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.
Technical Skills:
One or more of the following skills are desired.
Experience with Data Platforms: SQL, Python, Snowflake; Databricks; Teradata; SQL Server; Oracle; MongoDB
Experience with Data Architecture; Semantic Layers, GitLab or GitHub; ETL or ELT using Teradata or Informatica
Experience with Other: Data Catalog, Metadata, Lineage tools and usage: Alation, , AWS Technologies, Healthcare Knowledge, Manta
Knowledge of Business Intelligence
Knowledge of Other: Streaming data ingest tools and platforms: Informatica, Talend, Kafka, AWS Glue, Matillion, SSIS
Soft Skills:
