Global Functions Technology (GFT) is part of RBC’s Technology and Operations division. GFT’s impact is far-reaching as we collaborate with partners from across the company to deliver innovative and transformative IT solutions. Our clients represent Risk, Finance, HR, CAO, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Capital Markets, Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management. We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration.

The HR Technology team is responsible for optimizing and modernizing the systems and tools that support HR functions. These functions include recruitment, learning, performance, operations and talent data management. In HR Tech, we aim to improve the overall employee experience, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness, using modern and emerging technologies.
What will you do?

Work closely with stakeholders to build new features and maintain existing functionalities for various HR technology products

Design and develop applications utilizing GenAI, contributing to the co-creation of Proof of Concepts and Minimum Viable Products using Foundational models, demonstrating the business value of AI solutions

Manage project deliverables and timelines; communicate directly with stakeholders to maintain expectations.

Demonstrate software development best practices for high quality delivery. This includes code review and technical documentation, unit test coverage, vulnerability analysis, and etc.

Identify area of improvement in existing processes and leverage technology (including introducing new tools utilizing GenAI) to improve efficiency and drive rapid delivery

Work closely with the Development team, analyzing data, designing and implementing ETL/ELT functionality to transform data for different applications purposes
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
-
Experience with GenAI development and tools
-
5+ years of experience with Python, SQL
-
Experience managing a team of developers
-
Experience with Agile development, DevOps , CD/CI tools- Jenkins, GitHub, Ansible, Airflow, application monitoring tools

Experience working with databases such as Snowflake, Databricks, PostgreSQL, etc

Experience with building Cloud-ready microservices and containerizing applications

Public and Private cloud knowledge, skills, and experiences (Azure, AWS, OpenShift, Dockers, Kubernetes)
Nice-to-have
-
Experience with Microsoft Cognitive Services, LangChain, Stonebranch, GPT, OpenAI, deep learning libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras)

Experience designing front-end solutions with Next.js, React
-
Experience with HR systems & workflow management tools such as Workday, SAP, ServiceNow

Proficient in programming languages like Java
