Lead, Corporate Communications and Citizenship

 

Who You Will Work With:  

 

The vacant role Lead, Corporate Communications and Citizenship will report to the Leader of Corporate Communications and will play a pivotal role in advancing Interac’s thought leadership and purpose-driven initiatives.  This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution across three key areas: executive positioning, corporate citizenship programming, and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) communications.

 

What You Will Do:  

Enabling Executive Thought Leadership

  • Partner with executives to craft compelling narratives for industry events, including talking points, media and social media engagement, and spokesperson preparation that positions Interac as a trusted voice in the digital economy.

Leading Interac Corporate Citizenship Programming

  • Shape and evolve our citizenship strategy as a core pillar of Interac’s ESG approach, aligning with our North Star of leading Canada toward digital prosperity. Build, manage, and communicate partnerships internally and externally that amplify our impact and reinforce our ESG commitments.

Supporting ESG & Citizenship Communications

  • Develop and deliver integrated communications that highlight Interac’s corporate citizenship initiatives within the broader ESG narrative. Craft messaging that connects community efforts with our wider social, environmental, and governance impact, ensuring progress and outcomes are communicated clearly to both internal and external audiences.

 

What You Bring: 

  • Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.   

  • A bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, business, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in strategic communications and/or corporate social responsibility roles.

  • Proven ability to develop and execute communication strategies that engage diverse stakeholders.

  • Strong relationship-building skills with external partners and internal teams.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas into clear, compelling messages.

  • High drive and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Familiarity with ESG principles and corporate citizenship programs is an asset.

The hiring range for this position is $100,000 to $130,000, and you will also be eligible for our short-term incentive plan. The exact amount will depend on factors such as skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, but Interac’s commitment goes beyond compensation.
