Position Summary
The Key Account Manager (KAM) will report directly to the Director of Sales, Canada and own responsibility for Wet N Wild, Physicians Formula, Lip Smacker, and Black Radiance across assigned Canadian retail accounts, with Walmart Canada and Loblaw/Shoppers as the key focus. This role owns the day-to-day customer relationship and is accountable for delivering annual sales targets, executing customer strategies, and ensuring flawless in market execution across brands and categories.
This role operates as a true business owner at the account level, translating strategy into action. The KAM will manage forecasts, trade spend, assortments, and promotions. This role will partner closely with internal teams and brokers to deliver results that align with Canada’s overall P&L and growth priorities.
Essential Tasks, Duties, & Responsibilities
Business & Customer Ownership
- Own sales, profit, and execution for assigned Canadian key accounts.
- Deliver annual, quarterly, and monthly sales objectives aligned to the Canadian business plan.
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for buyers, replenishment teams, and key customer stakeholders.
- Support Joint Business Planning, line reviews, and customer presentations in partnership with the Director of Sales, Canada.
- Perform other duties as needed and directed by management.
Assortment, Merchandising & Promotion
- Manage timely item setup and launch execution.
- Maintain and expand existing distribution through strong planogram compliance and shelf execution.
- Develop and execute promotional strategies that drive velocity and ROI.
- Partner with brokers and field teams to ensure in-store execution meets Markwins’ standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Marketing, Category Management, Finance, and Supply Chain to support customer needs.
- Provide customer feedback and insights to inform innovation, pricing, and assortment decisions.
- Align broker execution to account priorities and hold partners accountable to agreed KPIs.
Insights & Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and promotional strategies.
- Translate customer and market insights into actionable recommendations.
- Support monthly business reviews with clear performance narratives and data driven insights.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of account management experience in the Canadian CPG market.
- 3-5 years of Walmart Canada & Loblaw/Shoppers account management experience
- Experience in beauty, cosmetics, or personal care strongly preferred.
- Proven track record managing national or regional retail accounts.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to manage trade spend and forecasts.
- Confident negotiator with clear, concise communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate independently.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence cross-functionally.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and standard sales reporting tools.
- Fluent in English. French is a strong asset.
Travel & Requirements
- Willingness to travel up to 20% for customer meetings and store visits.
- Valid driver’s license.
