Overview:
We are looking for a Junior Developer to join our risk team. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to gain hands-on experience building firm-wide risk management tools across a broad range of asset classes and trading strategies. You will help maintain and enhance our in-house risk engine, supporting functions such as real-time PnL monitoring, VaR, risk reports, and dashboards. You will work closely with senior developers, quants, and risk analysts to learn how financial models are translated into robust systems. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about software development, interested in financial markets, and eager to grow in a high-performance environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in building and maintaining risk management applications, including
- Real-time PnL and exposure tracking
- Risk dashboards and reporting tools
- Contribute to front-end development for visualization and reporting
- Support and enhance applications that leverage large language model (LLM) APIs for automation, analysis, and workflow improvements.
- Translate prototype scripts and models into production-ready code
- Collaborate with risk analysts and quants to implement changes and new features.
- Troubleshoot and fix bugs in production systems.
- Write clean, tested, and maintainable code under guidance from senior developers.
Requirements:
- 0–2 years of professional experience in software development
- Proficiency in Python
- Exposure to a modern JavaScript framework (React, Angular, or Vue).
- Solid understanding of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL).
- Familiarity with APIs, data structures, and general programming concepts.
- Exposure to time-series data or real-time data visualization.
- Familiarity with LLMs and experience using APIs for practical applications is preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn quickly.
- Interest in financial markets and risk management.

Annual compensation range $80-95K base + discretionary bonus opportunity
