BIMM is booming, so we’re looking for a Junior Accountant to join our team! 

As we observe a hybrid model, this role will require you to be in office at BIMM HQ (Distillery District) up to 2 days per week.

Responsibilities 

Business Performance 

  • Act as a financial point of contact for all A/P and A/R related 
  • Month-end Responsibilities: Execute credit card reconciliations, bank reconciliations, etc. 
  • Maintain financial records and support Finance Manager in completing annual audits 
  • Perform Budget Control Reports (BCR) preparation, participate in internal meetings as well as project docket management and maintenance 
  • Assistance with preparation and administration of Audi financial process 
  • Enforcement of internal controls of processes and procedures relating to expense and docket approvals, and ensure compliance with all relevant accounting principles and standards 
  • Identifying opportunities for cost savings on a continuous basis 
  • Assist in management of timesheet process of employees 
  • Support onboarding of new employees with guidance on Finance policy & processes 
  • Ad hoc as requested 

Corporate Support Services 

  • Provide assistance in the planning and execution of company events 
  • Ad hoc as requested 

Requirements 

  • University degree in business 
  • 1+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience 
  • Excellent PC and system skills, including Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications 
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, and able to prioritize tasks 
  • High standard of integrity and quality 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills 
  • Effectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues on an ongoing basis 
  • Ability to work effectively with a team and individually

The range of annual base salary for full-time employees for this position is below. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including your city of residence, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Total compensation range:
$45,000$55,000 CAD
