We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. This role involves assisting with day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, has strong analytical skills, and is passionate about building a career in accounting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record and reconcile daily transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Process invoices, payments, and expense reports accurately and on time.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Maintain and update accounting records and files.
  • Assist with audits and the preparation of documentation for auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Provide general administrative support to the accounting team.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or working toward one).
  • Experience: 2+  years of accounting or finance experience
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel , Google workspace and accounting software 
    • Basic understanding of accounting principles (ASPE/IFRS).
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to perform under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with financial analysis and budgeting processes.
  • Experience using ERP systems.
  • Working towards professional designation
