Role Overview

We are looking for a Bookkeeper / Junior Accountant to support our growing operations and finance team. This individual will be responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping, preparing financial reports, and assisting with compliance and reconciliation. You’ll play a critical role in helping maintain AXIBO’s financial health and ensuring timely, accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero)

  • Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for internal review

  • Assist in payroll processing and benefits tracking

  • Coordinate with external accountants for year-end tax filings and audits

  • Help track HST/GST remittances and corporate tax payments

  • Manage expense reports and vendor invoices

  • Organize and maintain financial documentation and backup records

  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities with up-to-date data

Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • 1–3 years of bookkeeping or junior accounting experience

  • Proficiency with accounting tools (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)

  • Strong Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities

  • Familiarity with Canadian tax, HST, and payroll regulations is a strong asset

  • Experience working with startups or tech/engineering companies is a bonus
