Junior Accountant / Bookkeeper

We are looking for a Junior Accountant/Bookkeeper to support our business growth in Toronto. This is a full-time, permanent position.

How you will contribute: 

• Record and maintain daily financial transactions (AP, AR, journal entries).
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
• Assist with payroll processing and payroll reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain organized and accurate accounting records and documentation.
• Assist with HST/GST filings and other statutory reporting.
• Support financial management of multiple projects. Analyze project performance and ROI.
• Prepare basic financial reports and schedules as required.
• Respond to vendor and internal accounting inquiries.
• Coordinate internally and externally to support auditing.
• Identify areas of improvement. Contribute ideas and suggestions.
• Determine cost-effective alternatives for current and future projects
• Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned

What you bring to the table: 

• Completion of post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1-3 years of accounting t or bookkeeping experience in Canada.
• Currently pursuing or planning to pursue CPA designation.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, best practices, standards, and regulations.
• Experience with accounting software, any experience with Sage or Oracle is an asset
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify key trends, risks, and opportunities. 
• Strong communication skills and a good team player.

Schedule: Mon – Fri, 9:00am to 5:30pm
