As a Jr. PON Test Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our optical network testing and validation processes. Your primary focus will be on developing and executing test plans for Passive Optical Network (PON) OLT and ONU optical modules and technologies, ensuring the reliability and performance of our optical solutions. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and work closely with our R&D team, utilizing your skills in test automation and equipment handling.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for PON technologies, ensuring coverage of all critical aspects.
  • Utilize Python coding skills to automate test processes, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Operate and maintain common lab equipment such as BERT, OSA, and DCA, ensuring their proper functioning.
  • Analyze test results, identify anomalies, and provide detailed reports to the R&D team.
  • Collaborate with R&D members to understand project requirements and provide valuable insights.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of test methodologies and strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all testing activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of test procedures and results.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in optical network testing and technologies.
  • Support the team in achieving project milestones and delivering high-quality optical solutions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Relevant co-op or intern experience in a similar role, preferably in optical network testing.
  • Strong programming skills, particularly in Python, for test automation.
  • Familiarity with common lab equipment used in optical testing, including BERT, OSA, and DCA.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Good communication skills for effective collaboration with R&D members.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
  • Strong organizational skills and a methodical approach to work.
