What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a Junior IT Support Coordinator to own day-to-day IT support and office technology operations. This role is critical to ensuring employees have the tools, access, and support they need to work effectively and securely in a Mac-first environment.

This role offers hands-on ownership of Phoenix’s core systems with exposure to IT operations, security, and compliance. You’ll be the first point of contact for many IT needs; supporting onboarding and offboarding, managing devices and equipment, and helping maintain a secure, reliable office setup. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their IT career to grow their technical skills, take on increasing responsibility, and make a meaningful impact on the employee experience in a collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Employee Onboarding & Offboarding: Prepare and configure laptops for new hires, grant system access and assist with first-time logins across tools like Google Workspace and Slack, and support offboarding by reclaiming equipment and ensuring access is properly revoked.

  • End-User IT Support (Mac-First Environment): Provide day-to-day technical support to office staff by installing, configuring, and troubleshooting software on macOS devices.

  • Hardware & Equipment Management: Manage requests for new or replacement hardware & peripherals and maintain an accurate inventory of IT equipment and office peripherals.

  • Office Network & Infrastructure Support: Provide basic support for office network infrastructure such as troubleshooting connectivity issues, assisting with wired network requests (including patch panel to switch connections), and maintaining basic physical network organization and documentation.

  • Device Management & Security: Manage library items, blueprints, and device policies as well as assist in enforcing security, vulnerability management, and compliance controls by administering Kandji and related device management tools.

  • Identity, Access & MFA Enforcement: Assist with access and authentication troubleshooting by enforcing multi-factor authentication (MFA) across supported systems, performing regular reviews of MFA status, and following up with employees to ensure full MFA compliance.

  • Internal Tools & Workflow Support: Work with stakeholders to understand business needs before enabling new tools, ensuring tools meet security and operational standards. This includes assisting with building and maintaining Slack workflows and automations, as well as vetting and installing third-party Slack apps and internal tools.

What You’ll Bring
  • Experience: 0–2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or a related technical role.

  • Mac-First Support: You’re comfortable supporting macOS in a professional environment, including software installation and OS-level troubleshooting.

  • Technical Foundations: You have a basic understanding of networking concepts such as Wi-Fi, switches, and cabling, and are familiar with identity and access management concepts like SSO and MFA.

  • Organized and Reliable: You manage multiple support requests effectively, maintain strong attention to detail, and keep systems and inventory well organized.

  • Strong Communicator: You communicate clearly and professionally, translating technical issues into understandable solutions with a service-oriented mindset.

  • Ownership Mindset: You take responsibility for issues from start to resolution, escalating when needed while maintaining follow-up and accountability.

  • Security-Minded: You understand the importance of access controls, device security, and compliance, and are comfortable following established security processes.

  • Interest in Digital Health: You’re passionate about improving the Canadian healthcare experience and have a personal connection to the space

  • Nice to Haves: Experience with Kandji or other MDM tools, exposure to Google Workspace administration, experience supporting Slack workflows or internal automations, or an interest in IT security, compliance, or device management.

Why Work at Phoenix?
  • A Rewarding Mission: Through our asynchronous care model, Phoenix is reimagining patient-centric care for Canadians across the country by making diagnoses and treatment delivery faster, more accessible, and completely discreet.

  • Impact & Autonomy: You’ll work directly with passionate, experienced leaders who’ve seen the ups and downs of building a business and genuinely care about your growth. You won’t just execute — you’ll help shape the future of Phoenix and Raven.

  • Collaborative In-Office Culture: Based in the heart of downtown Toronto, our HQ team comes together on-site five days a week to build fast and push what’s possible. We love the fast feedback loops, spontaneous brainstorms, and actually knowing the people we work with. Bonus points if you’re into the occasional foosball tournament or have strong opinions about the best lunch spot in the neighbourhood.

  • Competitive Pay, Real Benefits: Our compensation bands are backed by real market data, so offers are competitive and fair. Our benefits package includes standard healthcare coverage, a remote-first holiday season, and holistic wellbeing support — such as a wellbeing allowance and flexible additional time off to care for loved ones, support mental health, observe meaningful religious and cultural holidays, or when life just happens.
