What it’s like to be a Northbridge IT Audit Specialist

The IT Audit Specialist provides independent, objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve the Company’s IT operations. They help the Company accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of key technology risk management, control, and governance processes.

The IT Audit Specialist is responsible for supporting Senior Management and the Audit and Risk Committee in identifying key Technology risks and providing value-added recommendations to promote effective IT control and sound business practices via independent risk-based assurance services designed to add value and improve the organization’s IT operations.

If you are great at:

• Leading and executing IT audit projects including audits of internal controls over financial reporting (SOX testing) covering IT General Controls (ITGC) domains of Access Security, Computer Operations, Change Management, Program Development among others; IT Application Controls (ITAC); Report Logic/Automated Interface Controls; and IT Entity Level Controls

• Documenting in an audit savvy language and follow through on the completion and archiving of audit deliverables

• Prepare draft reports for IT operational audits that includes impactful audit findings/observations and recommendations based on efficient execution of audit fieldwork.

• Collaborating with IT governance in the updating of process documentation and control descriptions

• Maintaining quality of audit processes and documentation in accordance with the IPPF.

If you have:

• Relevant post-secondary education.

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in IT auditing.

• Completion of CISA certification.

• Professional certifications, such as CIA, CISSP, or CISM are a plus.

• Strong knowledge of the IPPF and COBIT or similar frameworks.

• Working knowledge of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
