Job Description

Job Summary

An IT Compliance Analyst with our Product Development will support the IT Director in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, strengthening the organization's security posture, and improving operational resilience. This role involves analyzing compliance and security measures, identifying areas for improvement, and assisting in the implementation of policies and procedures. This is a hybrid role, with 1-2 days per week expected in-person at 200 Bay Street in Toronto.

Job Responsibilities

Business Continuity & Operational Resilience: 

  • Assist in designing, maintaining, and testing the Business Continuity, Incident Management, and Disaster Recovery programs. 
  • Conduct business impact analysis (BIA) and threat/risk assessments. 
  • Support the development and conduct of tabletop exercises, simulations, and recovery testing, ensuring readiness to respond to disruptions. 
  • Ensure alignment between business needs and IT recovery capabilities. 

IT Compliance & Governance

  • Assist in the development and implementation of compliance programs, policies, and procedures. 
  • Monitor remediation plans, control effectiveness, and residual risks. 
  • Investigate and resolve compliance breaches, implementing corrective actions. 
  • Support IT risk assessments, control testing, and gap analysis. 
  • Maintain metrics and dashboards for senior management and committees. 
  • Liaise with risk, compliance, legal, and privacy teams. 
  • Ensure compliance with PIPEDA, Bill 64 / Law 25 (Quebec), OSFI, and other regulations. 

IT Security: 

  • Collaborate with security teams to maintain cybersecurity frameworks. 
  • Assist in managing policies, technical controls, and awareness training. 
  • Coordinate incident response and support mitigation planning. 
  • Track and report on security posture, metrics, and vulnerabilities. 
  • Assist in designing, maintaining, and testing the Business Continuity, Incident Management, and Disaster Recovery programs.

  • Other IT/Compliance duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications:

  • University bachelor’s degree in information technology, Risk Management, or a related field an asset.   
  • 3-5 years of experience in IT compliance, security, business continuity, or risk management (preferably in financial or insurance sectors). Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Relevant IT certifications such as CBCP, CRISC, CISA, and PMP are assets. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in IT systems and network management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong grasp of IT compliance frameworks and legislation. 
  • Ability to identify and mitigate IT and enterprise risks. 
  • Strong written and verbal skills for training and reporting. 
  • Ability to identify and address issues with precision. 
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, networks, and security protocols. 
  • Ability to adapt to changing technologies and environments. 

Salary Range - $70,000 to $90,000 annually
