The Risk Technology team at Manulife is seeking a seasoned data and analytics professional to help design and deliver innovative technology solutions that strengthen our Global Risk Management capabilities. In this role, you will shape how data, analytics, and workflow tools support critical risk functions across the enterprise—directly contributing to our mission of making decisions easier and lives better. You’ll have the opportunity to work on complex business problems, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and help modernize risk processes through cutting‑edge data and technology practices. Position Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive business requirements, technical specifications, and documentation for Risk Technology initiatives.

  • Analyze complex data sets and partner with management to design innovative, data‑driven solutions.

  • Conduct cost/benefit analyses to support strategic decision‑making, budgeting, and resourcing.

  • Facilitate process reviews and identify training needs related to new system implementations or workflow enhancements.

  • Lead or collaborate in agile environments to deliver iterative business value and support acceptance testing standards.

  • Serve as an effective facilitator, communicator, and trainer for team members and business stakeholders.

  • Research, evaluate, and document business issues related to workflows, processes, and system design.

Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in analytics, technology, or risk-related roles

  • Strong experience with SQL querying, data modeling, and building dashboards in BI tools (Qlik, Tableau, or Power BI)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Analytics, or related field (Master’s degree is an asset)

  • Expertise in system design, business analysis, and user acceptance testing

  • Excellent problem‑solving, verbal/written communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Solid understanding of Financial Risk concepts (Market, Credit, Operational) and regulatory risk reporting methods

  • Strong grounding in statistical analysis and data inference

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with investment trading operations

  • Knowledge of agile project management methodologies and workflow design

  • Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders across functions and levels

  • Ability to translate complex business needs into technical solutions

  • Experience delivering training or writing technical tutorials

Working Arrangement

Salary range is expected to be between

$86,100.00 CAD - $136,100.00 CAD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
