The Specialist, Talent Acquisition provides proactive, professional, and client-focused talent acquisition across all agencies in the IPG Mediabrands Canada network. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, this newly created role will assist in all recruitment activities and projects handled by the Talent Acquisition team. 

The ideal candidate is a dynamic, engaging, and entrepreneurial TA professional with a passion for finding and placing the best and brightest talent. This role is primarily focused on talent acquisition and influence initiatives. You possess an energetic personality, a ‘roll up the sleeves and dig in’ mentality, flair for creative solutions, passion for continuous learning, and desire to be a part of our growth as we continue to expand the Talent function in Canada. You’re buttoned down when it comes to organization, but you can easily flex to changing demands and you love a good challenge.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Provides end-to-end talent acquisition management – from sourcing to interviewing to offer

· Proactively builds and maintains a consistent pipeline of strong potential candidates for key roles

· Coaches hiring managers on the acquisition process and recruitment and selection best practices

· Plays a key role in the internship program (The Residency) and builds positive relationships with relevant post-secondary programs

· Ensures that hiring processes comply with legal requirements and Company guidelines

· Provides advice and assistance to managers in the development of job descriptions and provide guidance on appropriate salary ranges

· Counsels employees on various career opportunities within the Mediabrands Canada network

· Assists in maintaining the internal referral reward program

· Assists with training on recruitment practices and legal framework for hiring managers on an ongoing basis

· Attends relevant industry networking/social and/or campus recruitment events to promote Mediabrands’ profile as an employer of choice

· Supports various special projects


QUALIFICATIONS:

· Mid / Intermediate level of relevant talent acquisition experience

· Previous experience in the advertising/media, communication, digital/technology or related industries is an asset

· Social media savvy, with experience using various social media applications (Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn Recruiter) to communicate with and source potential candidates

· Professional technical skills, including the use of applicant-tracking systems and MS Office

· Demonstrated influencing and negotiation skills

· Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset

· Knowledge and understanding of current talent acquisition “best practices”

· Professional project management and organizational skills
