Build and manage relationships with family offices and high-net-worth investors. Responsibilities include qualifying allocators, preparing investor briefs, supporting live fundraising mandates, conducting follow-ups, sourcing new investor conversations, and growing an independent investor book. The role emphasizes discretion, relationship development, direct startup investment knowledge, and effective use of AI tools. It is fully remote and async, with some overlap with US Eastern time.

We are hiring an Investor Relations Associate to help grow the investor side of Paires, the network of family offices and high-net-worth individuals our founders raise from.

Paires is where founders come to raise capital. We pair them with the right investors from a large, engaged global investor network, then our agents manage the relationships that turn into meetings. It is a two-sided platform, live with paying clients, profitable and self-funded, built by a small, senior, flat team that ships fast.

The role

The craft of this seat is allocator trust, and we are hiring people early in that craft who are already showing they have it. You will work alongside our senior investor team on live mandates: qualifying allocators, preparing briefs, running follow-ups, and keeping investor relationships warm between deals. And from day one you will build your own: identifying family offices and HNWIs who back US startups, earning first conversations, and growing a book that is yours.

You do not need a decade of relationships. You need the beginnings of a real network, a method for growing it that you can explain, and the discipline to treat other people's capital and privacy with care. The rest, the mandate craft, the briefing standard, the judgment calls, you learn here, working next to people who do this every day. One thing this seat is not: technical. Our engineers build the platform and the agents. You work inside them, so your hours go to investors instead of admin.

What you will own

  • Your growing book. The allocator relationships you bring and the ones you open here, qualified and kept warm.

  • Mandate support that matters. Investor qualification, briefing notes, and follow-through on live deals, done to the house standard.

  • New doors. A monthly rhythm of first conversations with family offices and HNWIs who are new to Paires.

  • Your development. Every investor call you shadow and every brief you write compounds into the senior version of this seat.

You are a fit if you

  • Have started building an allocator network for real, through a seat in wealth management, private banking, a family office, placement, or your own hustle, and can show relationships you opened yourself.

  • Can explain your method. How you find the right investors, how you earn the first conversation, and how you stay useful to them after it.

  • Know what your investors actually do with their money, and ideally that includes direct allocations into US startups.

  • Listen more than you pitch. Allocators trust you because you never waste their time, and you would rather lose a meeting than force one.

  • Treat discretion as a reflex. Names, allocations, and conversations stay confidential, always.

  • Work like it's 2026. AI tooling runs your pipeline and prep, so your hours go to people.

What we offer

Fully remote and async. Your day overlaps with US Eastern time for a few hours, not full US hours. Meetings batch on Mondays and Thursdays, the rest is deep work. The best AI tooling, paid. A senior team to learn the craft from, live deal flow from week one, and a seat that grows into managing your own side of the network.

How to apply: hit apply, which takes you to our short application form. We read every application. Do not include investor names anywhere in it. We evaluate composition, not contacts.
