What our firm does have is a team of highly experienced and skilled lawyers with the most in-house/in-company experience in the country, offering first-class business legal counsel either on-site or off-site, on a flexible, as-needed basis.
To keep pace with our continued growth, we are in need of an Investment Funds Lawyer, who has solid experience in investment funds and a deep understanding of Canadian securities regulations.
As a Caravel Immigration Lawyer, You will:
  • Launch Canadian-domiciled investment funds (mutual funds, ETFs) for retail and institutional markets.
  • Advise on National Instruments 81-102, 81-106, 81-107 compliance.
  • Support product development team on new fund launches.
  • Provide day-to-day legal counsel on asset management matters.

What would YOU Bring:
  • 5+ years in securities law with a focus on investment funds/asset management.
  • Experience at Canadian asset managers (RBC GAM, BMO, TD, CIBC, McKenzie, Fidelity, CI, Manulife, Canada Life, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of NI 81-series and regulatory framework for mutual funds/ETFs.
  • Previous in-house asset management or large Canadian financial institution experience preferred.
