The Opportunity

Artificial Intelligence is revolutionizing healthcare, but it comes with an environmental cost. This project focuses on educating users about AI’s energy consumption while promoting efficient and responsible AI usage. By refining AI workflows and prompting strategies, we can reduce unnecessary computational load, minimize resource waste, and enhance AI-driven insights—contributing to Roche’s innovation and sustainability goals.

What You’ll Work On:

• Educate & Advocate – Raise awareness about AI’s energy footprint and the impact of optimized prompting.

• Optimize AI Usage – Develop strategies to streamline AI workflows, reducing unnecessary interactions and repetitive queries.

• Enhance AI Efficiency – Improve AI-generated outputs through precise and resourceful prompting techniques.

Who You Are

You are enrolled or have completed your Master’s/MBAs studies at a university, preferably in the field of Computer Science, Communication, Data Analytics within the last 12 months and are interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship of at least 3 months and getting to know the pharmaceutical industry.

Furthermore you are

• Understanding of AI concepts, computational efficiency and data analysis

• Experience with data analysis, workflow optimization, or AI prompting 

• Strong communication skills and ability to organize educational initiatives or awareness campaigns

• Interest in sustainability and responsible AI usage
