Job Description

  • As our Intermediate Web Developer, you will be responsible for building new customer experiences that reach millions of North American consumers. 

  • You will be responsible for creating, maintaining and executing our core e-commerce engine from desktop, iOS and android that run on scale.  You will work with web designer, marketing and advertising team to develop new features from concept through to launch and create the ideal environment for agile methodologies.

  • You will ensure the delivery of high quality products focusing on customer satisfaction.

  • Responsible for the definition, design, development, successful and timely completion of major new features in current and future products.

  • Reporting directly to the CEO, you will own our entire technical infrastructure.  This position is not simply a job, but a unique opportunity for you to help create and mold our young and growing organization from the ground up.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in front end web development, preferably with team lead or management experience.
  • A positive attitude with a healthy dose of get stuff done and intellectual curiosity
  • The ability to understand the business requirements, prioritize projects and execute accordingly
  • The ability to self-prioritize and understand that priorities can switch quickly

Required Technical Skills

  • Advanced PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5/CSS3, Bootstrap
  • Dev Ops AWS with knowledge of infrastructure Code Deployments, Cloud Management and other services connected our web infrastructure 
  • Experience A/B testing frameworks like Google Optimize, Optimizely or similar
  • Git source control
  • Extensive knowledge for best UX/UI practices with an eye for detail
  • Familiarity with SQL, MySQL
  • Extensive knowledge for best UX/UI practices with an eye for detail
  • Working knowledge of Wordpress 
  • Working knowledge of Webpack 
  • Working Knowledge of SaaS Infrastructure Environment, 
  • Working knowledge of design tools: Photoshop & Illustrator
  • Solid understanding of pros/cons of different tools and sound judgement in evaluating trade-offs for different applications
