🤙🏼 About gaiia

At gaiia, we're building the leading platform for Communications Service Providers (CSPs) that truly care about their customers. Our core product is an operating system (OS) for telcos that manages billing, operations, automation and everything in between.

We're passionate about taking care of our people, and it's not just lip service. We want you to focus on your job while we care for everything else. We offer competitive pay and benefits, flexible vacations, attractive stock options, unparalleled transparency, and a 100% remote environment. We're excited to have you join us for your next career adventure!

🎭 About the role

We’re looking for a Product Designer to help shape how CSPs run their businesses in gaiia. You’ll design clear, durable product experiences across complex operational workflows, partnering closely with product and engineering to move from problem to shipped solution.

You’ll use research and rapid iteration to make the platform simpler, faster, and more trustworthy. And you’ll help evolve our design system so we can deliver consistently high-quality experiences as we scale.

💻 What you'll do at gaiia
  • Design end-to-end experiences for gaiia’s operational platform, from early concepts and prototypes to polished, shipped UI.
  • Work closely with product and engineering to turn ambiguous problems into clear scopes, strong interaction models, and durable design decisions.
  • Use research and rapid iteration to make complex workflows simpler, faster, and more trustworthy.
  • Build and evolve our design system so teams can ship consistently high-quality experiences as the product scales.
  • Partner with QA to make to review, test, with clear specs, edge cases, and acceptance criteria.
  • Use AI thoughtfully to explore more options, validate decisions sooner, and increase the impact of your work.
  • Raise the bar on craft, accessibility, and clarity—sweating the details that make software feel effortless.

✅ Qualifications
  • 5+ years of product design experience, with a portfolio that shows strong craft and clear thinking.
  • Experience designing complex B2B web applications, especially across operational domains like Billing & Notifications, CRM, Product Catalog, Inventory/Fulfillment, Network & Geo, and platform tooling (including AI-powered product surfaces).
  • Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (Figma, FigJam) and comfort using AI tools in your workflow (e.g., Claude) alongside user testing tools.
  • Strong grasp of user-centered design principles, and the ability to translate customer needs into simple, high-quality experiences.
  • Experience planning and running research (interviews, usability testing) and using insights to iterate.
  • Familiarity with mixed-method research, experimentation (A/B testing), and agile product development.
  • Clear, structured communication and the ability to build alignment across design, product, and engineering.
  • Comfort working in fast-moving, highly iterative environments where ideas evolve through open dialogue and shared work.
  • Ownership mindset and growing leadership: you take responsibility for results, bring a point of view, align partners, and follow through.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to context-switch across multiple streams of work.
  • Openness to feedback, with a willingness to refine, rethink, and reimagine your work.
  • Bachelor’s degree in user experience design or a related field is a plus.

🔆 Benefits
  • Flexible 25 days of vacation.
  • Stock Options Plan.
  • Group Insurance.
  • Telemedicine.
  • Life Spending Account.
  • Employee-sponsored RRSP.
  • Flexible working hours & all-remote work.

We are an equal-opportunity employer committed to inclusivity and diversity. Our workplace is fully remote and boasts accessible technologies, ensuring all team members can thrive.
