SS&C Algorithmics is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (full stack Java developer) with an interest in financial risk management to join the Algo Workspace Analyzer product development team in Toronto, Canada. This is a unique opportunity to become a part of a team developing Algorithmics’ next generation risk aggregation solutions. This role will work with financial risk solution and technology experts to build and continuously innovate a suite of next generation risk solutions used globally by banks, asset managers, and insurance companies.

What You Will Get To Do:
- Design, develop, and optimize financial risk computation and regulatory reporting solutions written in Java.
- Write clean, efficient code to handle large-scale data processing and customizable reporting requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability, and resource bottlenecks.
- Partner with regulation experts, financial engineers, product teams, implementation engineers, and clients to translate regulatory requirements and client specific needs into efficient technical solutions.
- Solve complex challenges of distributed, multi-threaded and real-time processing system architecture.
What You Will Bring:
- 3–5 years of backend Java development experience, with proficiency in Java, data structures/algorithms, and object-oriented design.
- Proven ability to solve complex problems and implement efficient solutions in a distributed framework
- Curiosity and adaptability to learn financial regulations, quantitative logic, and business workflows. Experience in financial risk is preferred but not mandatory
- Solid analytical, problem solving, mathematical and communication skills
- Experience with databases, SpringBoot, containers and kubernetes, and modern build systems a plus.
