The Infrastructure Architect is responsible for the end-to-end technical design of network, hardware, and application infrastructure. This role defines architecture standards, selects technologies, and ensures all systems are secure, scalable, and interoperable. The Infrastructure Architect provides technical leadership throughout planning, procurement, implementation, and long-term support.
Key Responsibilities- Design and document network architecture, including ISPs, firewalls, routers, switches, and surge protection.
- Define hardware architecture for access control, intercoms, cameras, environmental sensors, and IoT devices.
- Establish infrastructure standards, configurations, and security best practices.
- Lead technical planning and validate feasibility, capacity, and scalability.
- Specify hardware and software requirements for procurement and vendor selection.
- Provide technical direction during implementation and resolve complex technical issues.
- Oversee application infrastructure integrations (e.g., admin portals, monitoring tools, uptime systems).
- Own system-level troubleshooting, escalation, and long-term reliability.
- Maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and as-built configurations.
- Strong background in network architecture (firewalls, routing, switching, VLANs).
- Experience with physical security systems and IoT infrastructure.
- Understanding of cloud-connected and hybrid infrastructure models.
- Ability to design secure, fault-tolerant systems.
- Experience working with vendors, procurement teams, and implementation engineers.
- Excellent documentation and technical communication skills.
- Fluency in French is an asset.

- Pay: $70,000–$120,000 a year
