Position Summary:

Working closely with our Logistics team, this position will embark in the planning and organization of monthly design changes.  Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Information Coordinator will oversee the creation, implementation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures.  Working closely with our customer, this role is responsible to maintain and analyze daily KPI’s, providing accurate and timely sensitive data to the customer as required. 

 This position will support a Monday to Friday day shift, but must be flexible to support the business as needed.  

Major Responsibilities:

- Primary contact for data collection, audit and reporting for changeover preparation

- Primary responsibility for creation, implementation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures/SWI relating to changeover

- Monitors issues related to changeover

- Prepares and trains for contingency situations resulting from non-standard operations

- Study the impact of customer initiated changes/requirements related to daily operations and Standard Operating Procedures/SWI.  Make adjustments as necessary and ensure

communication and implementation

- Maintains internal and external systems with accurate and timely data entry

- Maintain and monitor cross-dock tools and visuals for accuracy, operation consistency, and kaizen opportunity

- Communicates effectively with customer, and other parties as required, regarding pertinent route and/or freight information

- Supports root cause analysis with data collection and related reporting tools

- Supports departmental functions, projects, Key Performance Indicators as required

- Accountable for maintaining a safe work environment

- Builds and develops relationships with customer and works to improve (Kaizen) processes where necessary

- Works within a project budget as applicable

- Meets deadlines for reports and activities

- Data gathering for scorecard as required

- Adherence to company guidelines and expectations

- Other projects as assigned by the supervisor
 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

- High School diploma or GED equivalent required
- Two year degree/certificate in Supply Chain Management preferred
- Previous experience in transportation/third party logistic discipline required
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office required
- Experience with warehouse and/or yard management software preferred
- Must have strong organizational and time management skills

- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

- Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete a Penske employment application, submit to a reference verification (to include past employment and education) are required.
