The Information Analyst Intern will contribute to Investigative Services daily operations including processing of criminal record checks, liaising with securities commissions to exchange confidential information and working to process internal and external requests for research and other departmental tasks. Working with IS team members and collaborating with Listing staff and other operational departments, the Summer Intern will be required to ensure requests are accurately processed and meet established timelines. The Information Analyst Intern will assist in preparing and researching due diligence reports.
This role reports to: Senior Manager, Investigative Services
This role is hybrid (2-3 days/week in the office) - based in Toronto, ON.
Key Accountabilities:
Process criminal record checks and update departmental databases with relevant information
Liaise with regulatory and law enforcement contacts; exchange confidential information pertaining to investigative files
Process external research requests to external vendors
Assist in expense reporting
Assist with maintaining departmental statistics
Assist in executing process improvement initiatives and projects within the team
Assist in responding to customer inquiries and completing departmental tasks
Prepare extensive research using databases, print sources and industry contacts.
Analyze and summarize pertinent legal, regulatory and financial industry records
Assist in departmental projects
Must haves:
Pursuing a University Degree with preferred focus on Information Studies, Business/Commerce, Finance, Political Science or Economics
Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Strong proficiency with Google Suites application and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, MS Word)
Strong research skills: Experience using commercial online databases (such as LexisNexis) and internet search engines
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Self-management and organization skills
Proven ability to provide excellent client service and work in a team oriented environment
Nice to haves:
Canadian Securities Course
Familiarity with Salesforce

Salary Range: 20/hour-25/hour CAD
