The Practice:
Intelligent Asset Management, With A Team of Leading Practitioners having deep functional & industry knowledge specializing in the areas of Asset Integrity and Reliability Management, Master Data Management, Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) & Maintenance Execution, Material & MRO Management, Industry Analytics and Digital Industrial Workforce. We serve across various industry verticals, and we are looking for candidates with EAM experience in Discrete & Process manufacturing verticals, covering Auto / Aero & Defense / Oil & Gas / Chemicals / Pharmaceuticals / Consumer Goods / Hi-Tech segments.
Role Summary:
The MAS Mobile Developer is responsible for designing, developing, configuring, and deploying mobile solutions within the IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) ecosystem. This role focuses on building and enhancing MAS Mobile applications to support field work management, inspections, asset data capture, and workflow execution. The developer collaborates closely with technical architects, functional analysts, and business users to deliver high‑quality mobile capabilities aligned to enterprise asset management (EAM) processes.
Key Responsibilities
Application Development & Configuration
- Develop and customize MAS Mobile applications using IBM Maximo’s mobile frameworks and tools.
- Configure mobile workflows, UI components, offline capabilities, and role-based mobile experiences.
- Extend MAS Mobile through automation scripts, custom Java/REST integrations, and domain configuration.
Integration & Data Enablement
- Build and manage integrations using the Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) including Object Structures, Publish Channels, Enterprise Services, and REST APIs.
- Ensure mobile solutions reliably synchronize assets, work, inventory, and inspection data between devices and MAS environments.
Environment & Technical Support
- Work with technical architects to ensure MAS Mobile solutions are compatible across MAS 8.x/9.x environments.
- Troubleshoot mobile performance, connectivity, and synchronization issues across connected and offline modes.
Testing & Deployment
- Develop system test scenarios, user acceptance test (UAT) scripts, and support execution cycles.
- Assist with deployments, upgrades, data migration preparation, and cutover readiness for MAS Mobile components.
Collaboration & Delivery
- Partners with cross-functional teams including EAM functional consultants, integration developers, product owners, and business SMEs.
- Participate in project meetings, design sessions, technical reviews, and release planning activities.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge transfer materials, and support guides.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience with IBM Maximo development, ideally including MAS 8.x/9.x.
- Hands-on experience with MAS Mobile, Maximo Mobile, or legacy Maximo Anywhere.
- Strong skills in:
- Maximo configuration (Application Designer, Domains, Database Configuration)
- MIF integrations
- Automation Scripts (Python, JavaScript)
- REST/JSON interfaces
- Understanding of EAM processes such as approve work order, work order execution, equipment inspections, creating a service request, receiving in Maximo Mobile inventory and asset data capture.
- Experience supporting testing, troubleshooting, and production deployments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on MAS upgrades, cloud deployments (Azure/AWS), or multi-environment DevOps pipelines.
- Knowledge of mobile UX patterns and mobile application performance optimization.
- Familiarity with SQL (DB2/Oracle/PostgreSQL), containerized environments, or IBM Cloud Pak for Data.
- Consulting experience or exposure to large-scale asset-intensive industries (Utilities, Energy, Transportation, Mining, Aviation).
