The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As an Industrial Millwright, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Provide mechanical support for manufacturing operations (may include mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, lubrication, cooling, or exhaust systems).

  • Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, as well as equipment installation and commissioning.

  • Identifying, initiating, recommending, and overseeing programs to improve safety, quality, and cost.

  • General fabrication, including welding and cutting.

  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and systems adhering to established schedules

  • Providing ownership for specific equipment including equipment reliability, continuous improvement, and on call coverage

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Industrial Millwright license

  • Three (3) years combined (academic or industry) experience.

  • Current and valid Driver’s License.

  • Available to work shifts and be available for on call coverage

  • Must reside in Canada and have ability to work in Canada

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Effective "Hands On" techniques

  • Ability to analyze, problem solve and implement solutions

  • Excellent computer skills - Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Project

  • Works well on cross-functional teams in a continuous improvement (LEAN) environment

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Work location: Onsite – Perth, ON

Travel: May include up to 5% of travel, which may involve overnight stays. A valid driver's license is required
