Indirect Tax Manager

As the Indirect Tax Manager, you will have responsibility for providing VAT advisory support across the Aptiv business as well as identifying and leading VAT focused projects from preliminary assessment phases through to the monitoring and maintenance phases.

Please note, this is a full time, office based position.

Your Role

  • Identify and implement tax strategies with a focus on EMEA VAT including supply chain design;
  • Manage interactions with tax authorities on indirect tax matters;
  • Collaborate with EMEA VAT compliance team to further develop in-house capabilities;
  • Manage process and control environment to ensure timely and accurate compliance with EMEA indirect tax obligations;
  • Monitor legislative developments along with communication of impact to wider business;
  • Manage relationships with external advisers, suppliers and business customers;
  • Support indirect tax systems implementations and updates;
  • Promote VAT awareness through knowledge sharing and training.

Your Background

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in EMEA VAT with Big 4 firms or multinational companies;
  • Accounting and/or tax qualification;
  • Strong ability to develop initial views to complex problems independently;
  • Strong time management and organization skills with the ability to manage a number of projects at any one time;
  • Knowledge of international tax with indirect tax elements of US GAAP a benefit;
  • Strong proficiency in English, other language skills a plus (we are a multinational, multilingual business).
