Hi, I’m Kaleb! I lead the Inbound Sales Development team here at Customer.io, and we’re excited to be growing. We’re looking for an Inbound Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our Americas team and help us connect with potential customers.
As an Inbound SDR, you'll be the first person potential customers talk to when they reach out to us. Your role will be all about understanding their needs, qualifying them, and setting up meetings for our sales team. You'll be working closely with both our marketing and sales teams to make sure our leads are top-notch and help us build a strong pipeline.
We don’t expect you to be an expert in everything right away! What’s most important is that you’re curious, love talking to people, and are eager to make an impact by bringing in new business. You’ll have support from our team to learn and grow in your role.
What you’ll do:
- Connect with Prospects: You’ll be the first point of contact for inbound leads, understanding their needs and starting the qualification process.
- Qualify Leads: Work with leads from various sources (our website, product trials, etc.) to determine if they’re a good fit for what we offer and if they’re ready to speak with our Account Executives.
- Set Up Meetings: Schedule high-quality meetings for the sales team with decision-makers who are interested in learning more.
- Keep Things Organized: Maintain accurate records of your interactions with leads in our CRM, ensuring clear visibility of their status in the sales funnel.
- Work as a Team: Collaborate closely with marketing to ensure we’re getting high-quality leads and provide feedback to improve our process.
- Follow Up: Stay in touch with prospects who express interest but aren’t yet ready to take the next step.
- Share Your Progress: Regularly update your manager and the team on your lead pipeline and how you’re doing with your goals.
About you:
- You love talking to people and can explain things clearly and simply.
- You’re comfortable with rejection and can stay motivated to keep going.
- You’re organized and can keep track of lots of details without missing anything.
- You have a basic understanding of sales and are excited to learn more about how to qualify leads and handle objections.
- You enjoy working with others, especially across teams, to make sure everything runs smoothly.
- You’re self-driven and love hitting your goals.
What we’re looking for:
- Familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce or HubSpot.
- A track record of meeting goals for lead qualification and scheduling.
- Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and works well independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a SaaS or tech company.
- Prior experience in inbound sales within a SaaS company.
- Understanding of marketing automation and lead nurturing processes.
Why you’ll love it here:
- Competitive salary and a great bonus structure.
- Plenty of opportunities for professional development and access to sales coaching.
- You’ll be part of a passionate team that’s focused on growing and succeeding together.
