Job Description:
Duties:
- Review all payroll input processes for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with Company policies and governance prior to transmission for processing.
- Complete pay period close operations in UKG Dimensions for payroll processing, review final reports for accuracy and coordinate manager approval and submission for processing.
- Review payroll registers to identify and resolve issues prior to payroll processing.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of payroll functions for audit purposes, in accordance with statutory requirements and corporate SOX requirements.
- Administer and maintain the UKG Dimensions time and attendance system and related attendance management policies.
- Provide system training, and guidance to management, supervisors and employees on best practices and interpretation of company policies and procedures.
- Process HR, payroll and group insurance benefits in Workday including enrolments, changes, and terminations.
- Administration of the group insurance benefit and RSP plans including troubleshooting related issues.
- Handle and resolve all inquiries arising from questions about payroll, vacations, the group insurance benefits and RRSP’s.
- Manage onboarding and orientation for new employees across 24-7 shifts.
- Create and maintain employee and HR files. Collecting information as required.
- Assisting in the administration of employee relations matters on a day-to-day basis.
- Assist is social compliance and food safety audit preparation and audits.
- Issue ad hoc, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Performance of assigned HR tasks/duties in support of the HR functional area.
Requirements:
- Completion of post-secondary education in an HR related field and a working knowledge of HR related legislation.
- Two – five years related work experience in Human Resources / Payroll.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of payroll and time & attendance systems. Workday and UKG Dimensions required.
- Demonstrated experience with HRIS systems, social compliance, and food safety audit administration. Workday experience required.
- Experience with group benefits administration.
- Demonstrated experience onboarding new employees.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft programmes including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong communication skills combined with the capability to interact effectively with employees, other departments, and the corporate group. Employee relations skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a change-filled environment and to multi-task with frequent interruptions is essential.
