Your Role:

We are seeking an experienced and versatile Human Resources Manager to lead the HR function at our corporate office and provide HR advisory support to some of the portfolio companies.

This is a hands-on, multi-faceted role responsible for developing and implementing practical, business-aligned HR programs that support organizational growth, compliance, and employee engagement across a diverse range of industries.

The ideal candidate is a trusted HR partner who is hands-on — someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and enjoys building structure and culture in growing organizations.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Corporate HR

  • Oversee HR operations for the firm, including recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Administer compensation, benefits, and incentive programs; coordinate payroll and ensure compliance with employment standards.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with legislation and company values.

Portfolio Company Support

  • Periodically support portfolio companies in providing HR advice, employee relations matters, performance management systems, benefits, and compliance practices.

Facilities

  • Oversee and back-up the facilities function at the corporate office, including building maintenance, events management, and reception.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • CHRP or CHRL designation preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, including both strategic and operational responsibilities.
  • Experience within a professional services environment.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian employment legislation.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing HR programs within small to mid-sized organizations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and business acumen.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on approach and the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

Equity Statement:

WeShall Investments is committed to creating and sustaining a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace. We welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds and strongly encourage applications from members of equity-deserving groups, including but not limited to Black, Indigenous, and racialized people, persons with disabilities, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and women. Accommodations are available upon request throughout the recruitment and employment process in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
