The HR Coordinator provides operational and administrative support across key functional areas of the Human Resources department. The role supports the coordination and execution of HR processes, employee lifecycle activities, and HR initiatives, ensuring accurate data management, timely service delivery, and adherence to company policies and standards.
Core Responsibilities!
Prepare, process, and maintain electronic employee files, including archiving, in compliance with regulations and company standards.
Process employee lifecycle changes in the HR system (Dayforce), including new hires, job changes, reporting line updates, resignations, and terminations, and ensure related data is accurate and complete.
Provide operational support to Payroll by responding to payroll related questions and assisting with pay impacting processes.
Support benefits administration by assisting with employee enrollments, terminations, and benefit updates.
Support ongoing improvements to HR administrative and operational processes by maintaining accurate, up‑to‑date process documentation and guides.
Respond to employee and manager inquiries related to HR processes, systems, payroll, benefits, and employee data, exercising judgement to resolve routine matters and escalating non‑routine or sensitive issues as appropriate.
Provide operational support to HR Business Partners by completing system updates and preparing required documentation.
Support onboarding by coordinating pre‑start activities, entering new hire information in Dayforce, and assisting with system access.
Support offboarding by processing system updates and assisting with required HR steps related to employee exits.
Participate in and support HR projects by helping plan and coordinate processes, supporting multiple HR teams, and ensuring required actions are completed.
Support project execution by coordinating updates in Dayforce, preparing and maintaining required reports and trackers, and ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
Assist with implementing approved process or policy changes by updating documentation, systems, and materials as needed.

Let's Talk About You!
- Bachelor’s Degree/ post-secondary education with a focus in Human Resources
- 1–3 years of experience in an administrative, coordination, or HR support role
- At least 1 year of human resources experience
- Knowledge of HR functions and practices.
- CHRP designation would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of relevant government legislation.
- Results oriented, self-starter, and ability to work independently and in a team.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate Outlook and Word skills.
- Excellent record keeping and attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership qualities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all employees, pay and benefit information.
This role will be brought in initially as an intern, reporting to Anton, with a clear line of sight to potential full‑time conversion. The responsibilities have significantly expanded beyond traditional admin or coordinator duties. The role now requires broad exposure across HR Operations, with an expectation that the individual understands how all HR functions interconnect.
The position touches nearly every part of HR and is intentionally designed as a feeder role into other HR paths, including HRBP, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, and broader HR Operations. The organization is currently in a period of transformation and growth, making this an ideal opportunity for someone looking to build a holistic HR foundation.
Functional Breakdown
The role is expected to be distributed as follows:
* 40% Project Work
Supporting automation initiatives, process improvements, and cross‑functional HR projects.
* 20% HRIS & Employee Data
Involvement in mid‑year and year‑end cycles, employee data maintenance, and reporting.
* 20% Employee & Stakeholder Support
Acting as a key point of contact for employee inquiries and stakeholder coordination.
* 20% Onboarding & Offboarding
Supporting end‑to‑end lifecycle processes, including onboarding reporting and exit insights.
The role will support areas such as Ops & Payroll, Total Rewards, Onboarding Reporting, and broader HR systems. There is close collaboration with HRIS and Total Rewards (Stef), Ops & Payroll (AD/SM), with onboarding reporting ultimately rolling up to Gavin.
Employee Experience & Sensitivity
A key component of the role is supporting centralized HR intake channels, including the HR chatbox, HR inbox, and offboarding insights. This function serves as a sensing mechanism within the HR hub, including a safe‑space hotline for confidential matters. As such, the role requires discretion, emotional intelligence, and comfort handling highly sensitive employee information.
