Human Resources Associate

Serves as a strategic HR partner to regional and school leaders across a multi-site school network. Leads workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, employee relations, investigations, performance management, compliance, change management, and HR process improvements. Uses workforce data and engagement feedback to identify trends, strengthen culture, mitigate risk, and improve retention. The role is primarily remote but requires consistent travel to supported schools near San Jose, California.

Manage People Operations processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, contracts, expenses, payroll inputs, tax filings, benefits, HRIS data, and reporting. Maintain the handbook and knowledge base, administer HR systems, and support compliance activities. Lead process-improvement projects involving AI workflows, HR dashboards, and compliance calendars while coordinating with Finance, Legal, and Business Operations.

Supports recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, payroll and benefits administration, HRIS and employee records, training, health and safety, and day-to-day guidance for employees and managers. Maintains confidential documentation, processes employee changes, assists with investigations and performance management, and helps ensure compliance with employment legislation and HR policies.
